Annual EH&S Refresher/Orientation Training Sessions
It is the Harvard Institutes of Medicine (HIM)/New Research Building (NRB) policy and an Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) requirement that occupants and staff are required to complete environmental health and safety training annually.
HIM/NRB Tenants have three options to complete this training:
1. Go to the on-line training session at https://home.eheinc.com/himnrb/logon.asp.
Ensure to use an e-mail address that works. The password for this training session is himtrain.
2. Attend an in-person training session. Refer to the tables below for dates, times, and locations.
3. Stop by the HIM/NRB EH&S office to review the training presentation and take a quiz. We are located in NRB 0201S, which is next to the elevator.
HIM/NRB EH&S Checklist
For new employees, please complete the following EH&S Training Checklist to ensure all new employees are trained in the required topics.
For Harvard employees, this form must be submitted to the Harvard Identification Office in order to obtain a Harvard identification card.
For non-Harvard employees, this form must be submitted to the HIM/NRB Security Office in order to obtain access to the HIM/NRB during after hours.

Annual Environmental
Health and Safety (EH&S) training is required annually under OSHA and Mass DEP laws.
All laboratory employees working at HIM/NRB are required to attend this training on an
annual basis.

including eyewashes, emergency showers, chemical spill kits, biosafety
cabinets and chemical fume hoods.

environmental regulatory compliance questions.

Oversees compliance with the MWRA Wastewater
discharge permit

Industrial Hygiene services

Develops and updates the Environmental Health
& Safety Manual policies and Chemical Hygiene Plan
